Photos Released Of Clarke's Horrific Injury

Following the horrible injury that Colin Clarke recieved on Saturday's game in the League Cup against Prestbury Rovers. Initial thoughts were that Clarke has fractured a cheekbone but since then it seems that injury could be less serious.

CCSAFC has released latest images revealing the extent of the injury, Clarke will not feature for the Reserves due to other commitments but that may be the best situation for the hard working Player/Manager.

Our best wishes are with Clarke and hope he returns to action ASAP.

Lydbrook Squashes Civvy's Hopes For Survival Push

Lydbrook Athletic were the visitors this Saturday at Cheltenham Civil Service and they left the Civvy Sports Ground 3 points better off.

Dan Warren again produced the goods up front but he could not prevent his side going down 4 - 1. Warren continued his hot streak for Civil Service but it was Kev Cole doing most the work in the home sides goal.

Another dissapointing result for the Service but they now move on for their next fixture against a very strong Tetbury Town side.

Clarke Is Civil Service JT

Cheltenham Civil Service Reserve team had a very difficult tie on Saturday in the Cup against higher league opposition. Prestbury Rovers took to the Civvy field in a clash that favoured the Visitors.

But it was CCSAFC Reserves that took the game to Prestbury with Dan Amos scoring very early on. Prestbury pulled themseleves level when a failed offside trap let in the visiting sides striker.

Colin Clarke then was involved in a collision with one of his own players which consequently ended with Clarke having a golf ball like swelling on his right cheek.

Clarke played on to see his team push for more goals. Jon Franklin scored from a Wayne O'Shea corner, Before O'Shea himself was on hand to head in a Clarke cross.

Amos then scored his 2nd of the Match after Prestbury defender Mark Gilbert mis-controlled a pass back to him and that let in Amos to slot past the advancing keeper.

The second half saw two further goals by Civil Service with Amos securing his Hat Trick and O'Shea tapping in after fine work from Mark Jones.

Mark Gilbert and Jim Miller both saw red late on for dissent.

But two sloppy goals conceded in the first half left Clarke's men a uphill struggle. Julian Raven scored again for his third goal in three weeks, This time fashioned off his thigh in a goalmouth scramble.

But as the Reserves pushed for a equaliser, Broadway sealed the game with two further goals.

Promising Debuts In Defeats

After the final whistle this Saturday it wasn't the discussion of how the Third and Fouth Teams lost but the performances of new signings in the Civvy.

Third Team Managers Ian Churchley and Alan Wakefield gave debuts to Todd Holder and Sonny Curran. Both players gave great performances that on another day would of warranted three points for their side.

Another debut was made on Saturday too, Tyrone Gambrell made his first start for the club and it was Adrian Hoddy that gave him the nod and he repaid the debt with his first goal for the club.
